Reports to: Company Director / Senior Marketing Manager
Location: The Prospect Building, Bristol , with some travel to London expected. Hybrid - 3days per week office based.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 6 months probation

About the Role:
Join a dynamic team at the forefront of the event and entertainment industry as we transform The Prospect Building into a vibrant hub for music, comedy, and community events in Bristol. As our Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales and elevate our venue’s presence. Your role will include designing and managing paid and organic media strategies, creating engaging content, and building relationships with local communities, universities, and creative partners.
Ideally you will have over two years of experience in a similar events marketing role, you’ll bring your expertise in both digital and print campaigns, influencer collaborations, and a strong understanding of the Bristol music scene. You’ll work closely with design teams, agencies, promoters, and artists to craft compelling marketing campaigns and deliver unforgettable experiences. Your creativity, strategic mindset, and interpersonal skills will be key to shaping our brand’s future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivery of venue marketing and brand development
- 360 Planning and successful delivery of marketing campaigns for events at Prospect Building, Bristol. These will be a mix of live & electronic music events, comedy and alternatively content such as clothes markets, food, beer etc.
- Supporting to set marketing objectives, working with the team and delivery of best practice approach
- Developing social media channels with a focus on Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat - working closely with our preferred agency
- Evaluation and collation of data and insights to evaluate end-to-end customer experience and journey’s across multiple touch points and channels.
- Overseeing of brand marketing activities, building and developing in-house brands and events
- Creation of content including, video, copy, online features and editorial
- Marketing budget management and responsibility, reporting key information to the finance team.
- Working with the team to develop and implement on and offline advertising strategies to build data and crucially to push ticket sales
- Building communities and communities relationships
- Working with universities and local colleges to build venue and events awareness
- Building, overseeing and maintaining external relationships and partnerships including PR / Media / Print etc.
- Working with design teams both internal and external to brief in assets to deliver end-to-end marketing assets for both print and digital campaigns.
- Working closely both with internal and external promoters / artists etc.
- Managing and capturing content at events for continuous marketing of events / venue
- Ticketing, working alongside the ticketing team to set up events and manage ticket allocations for events.
- Managing and responding to incoming customer queries
- Attendance events as and when required
- Ad-hoc admin and other duties as required to support the team
Required Experience:
- 2 years+ within a similar marketing events role.
- Proven experience of working both with digital and print marketing campaigns
- Proven experience of working with Influencers
- Experience of working with venues and events in Bristol with a good understanding of the Bristol music scene and how to communicate with those audiences
- Working with Adobe and Photoshop
Desirable experience
- Experience of working in music and working with artists
- A contact book of local photographers and videographers
- Existing relationships with local universities and colleges
- Designing and building newsletters / mailers using Mailchimp
