As a core member of the Commercial team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring exposure of UMG repertoire is maximized across all DSPs, with particular emphasis on partner relations, release optimization and responsive reporting from internal & external systems.   You'll work closely with the Marketing, Audience Development, Label Operations, Data Insights and streaming teams in front line label divisions. 

 

The B Side: Skills & Experience  

  

  

Be Organised 

  

  • Responsibility for pitching UMR releases to digital streaming partners including Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube 

  • Ensure visibility of UMR repertoire is maximized with DSPs both on and off platform 

  • Keep DSPs across artist promo updates & resurgence track streaming uplift 

  • Work closely with US & International teams to maximize exposure outside the UK 

  • Represent the UMR streaming team in both internal and external meetings with mgmt. 

  • Work with Label Ops & A&R to ensure the digital release schedule is up to date 

  • Assist in building, nurturing & maintaining UMRs relationship with all DSPs 

  

Be Creative 

  

  • Collaborate closely with the wider marketing, label & promo teams to build best-in-class artist campaigns 

  • Understand each platform’s ecosystem, keeping the wider label teams updated with all technical developments & promotional opportunities for UMR artists  

  • Ensure all artist profiles across DSPs are optimised 

  • Compile artist presentation decks for both regular & ad hoc meetings with partners 

  • Look for cross-promotional opportunities to drive our e-comm business 

  

Be Analytical  

  

  • Report on a variety of campaigns, audience and sales data using the UMG suite of analytics tools 

  • Track performance metrics and share in a timely and incisive manner  

  • Identify streaming spikes, potential reasons and flag opportunities to wider label teams 

  • Become an expert in utilizing all external partner tools (e.g. Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists etc) as well as 3rd party data tools (e.g. Chartmetric) 

  

 

Person Specification 

 

  • A passion for & broad knowledge of multiple musical genres and audiences; a love of music across the decades is a bonus 

  • Display initiative, with a proactive, energetic approach to work

  • Strong, clear communication & interpersonal skills

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Good numeracy skills 

  • Excellent IT skills; must be proficient in Excel, Google Docs, PowerPoint, Word, and comfortable with learning new systems, e.g. proprietary UMG tracking tools
