About The Role:

As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you lead the entire operational team in the warehouse. You are end-to-end responsible for warehouse operations and quality control. You coach and lead your team in the achievement of daily objectives whilst monitoring performance and development of KPIs. You are always striving to improve the current way of working.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
  • Provide strong leadership to the warehousing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement and enforce best practices in inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Ensure efficient space utilization and continuously improve operations efficiency based on KPI measurement and management.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Liaise with international logistics and service departments and transport companies, conduct negotiation on Terms and Conditions with forwarders.
  • Plan work routines, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
  • Recruit, select, coach, and motivate employees, prepare annual plan regarding costs and manpower.
  • Plan and manage  temporary work agency requirements
  • Leading a team of approx. 15-20 people
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly in order to manage operational performance and utilization
  • Implementing measures to standardize and increase logistics efficiency in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Inventory management and physical stock take ownership
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security, adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Appling subject matter expert knowledge to solve common business issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years work experience as a logistics or warehouse manager.
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures, software databases, and best practices.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators, Objectives and Key Results
  • Excellent communicator and decision maker, sympathy, and sound leadership.
  • Understanding the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between own and other functions.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
