We’re seeking a Sales Strategist to join the Brand Partnerships team in our NYC office.

The Sales Strategist will focus primarily on driving revenue through SoundCloud’s advertising partnerships, as well as new areas for monetization within SoundCloud. The Sales Strategist will develop  innovative ways to connect brands & audiences through SoundCloud’s native, custom, social and experiential platforms.  Custom programs include branded content promotion, promoted creator content, original content creation, contests & sweeps, off-platform sponsorships, events and experiential.

The Sales Strategist will oversee and track reseller pipelines, key agency and direct clients RFP’s; train resellers on SoundCloud value proposition, audience and ad formats; refine and improve sales collateral; keep resellers informed of SoundCloud’s products and capabilities and maintain strong reseller relationships to ensure a strong sales pipeline. This role includes strategic planning, consultative selling, brainstorming, expert product knowledge, project management, analysis, storytelling and driving retained revenue.

This role  will actively develop and support the sale of custom programs with SoundCloud resellers by reviewing RFPs received by resellers; proactively designing and pitching sponsorships for reseller team sto sell, and working with internal SC stakeholders required to execute custom programs (Account/Technical Partner Management, Marketing, Editorial / Artist and Label Services, Product, Press).  

  • (GTM materials, office hours, narrative training, sharing case studies, creating target lists, etc.).

As SoundCloud looks to launch its first ever sustainable content and experiential strategy, a core focus will be to align with all internal stakeholders to develop sponsorship opportunities, to underwrite these initiatives and drive revenue.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant publisher, agency or brand experience in a digital sales marketing / integrated marketing role, with a proven track record of creating and selling through custom programs
  • Understanding of the media landscape and feel passion about advertising
  • Exceptional communication, pitching and presentation skills; storytelling; ability to speak fluently to advertisers
  • Excellent copy and proposal building skills
  • Partner with US brand revenue team to brainstorm, develop, and execute brand partner solutions using data & insight that exceed client objectives to connect with SoundCloud listeners
  • Leverage comScore, internal data, research, audience insights and trends to create digitally focused native music & audio strategies for brand partners
  • Create and update Brand Revenue assets to support sales efforts ranging from pitch decks, one-sheets, proposals, and ad-hoc materials
  • Co-manage and execute sold programs, in a cross-functional capacity, to ensure we are delivering upon the concept created for the brand
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Docs.  Microsoft Office Suite and Photoshop and comScore a plus
