Vochlea Music is looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern

About Vochlea Music:

Vochlea Music is a London based creative technology company on a mission to empower music creators everywhere.

We’ve created an artificial intelligence (AI) Audio Engine that makes it easy for anyone to create, control and manipulate music using their voice. Imagine beatboxing triggering drum samples, humming a guitar part or controlling effects by the timbre of your voice - all absolutely live.

Our technology has been recognised internationally for a range of design and innovation awards, including winning the SXSW 2018 pitch competition. In March 2019 we launched a Kickstarter for our first product, our vocal recognition MIDI controller, Dubler Studio Kit— raising over £200k.

We’re now seeking a Marketing, Communications and Culture intern to support our (small!) marketing team. This is a full-time, two-month paid internship contract with the potential for extension.

Working out of an office in the Biscuit Factory in Bermondsey, we are a small, close-knit team who value diversity and inclusion. About you:

You’re an enthusiastic, intelligent and creative individual. A bit of a tech and music geek, you can see the amazing potential in the Vochlea Music technology and are excited to get involved.

We are looking for a hard-working, motivated and entrepreneurially minded marketing intern needed from for a 2-month period to assist us with marketing and communications for the business.

Our dream intern will be able to work independently and be passionate about all aspects of marketing and be a good problem solver.

As a Marketing & Communication intern, you’ll be multitasking across many different areas and projects, including pre-launch marketing, social media and communications planning, copywriting, PR and digital marketing/advertising. This is a chance to work at the heart of a small team at the forefront of the music technology industry.

The role:

More specifically, you’ll be working on tasks such as:

  • Social Media.
    • Monitor and reply to comments and messages on our social channels, working with the Head of Marketing and Communications to ensure any issues and confusion around our product are resolved.
    • Build out lists of potential artist collaborators and plan out creative engagement ideas.
    • Assist with ideation, planning and creation of content our social channels.
  • Community management.
    • Build out and execute a calendar of community engagement activities and ideas.
  • Email marketing.
    • Copywriting for our email newsletters and crowdfunding campaign updates.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects.
    • Assist with live AMAs and any video content we create in-house.
    • Support any events or initiatives we may attend, or run.
