We are looking for a Group Product Manager with both creative and analytical thinking to focus on Spotify’s podcast and talk formats (to be based in London or Stockholm). As part of the Core Experience department, you will lead teams at the center of the Spotify product experience.
This is a leadership position at Spotify. Your work will impact the entire Tech, Product, Insights & Design organization and you will collaborate across the organization with content recommendations, marketing, licensing, editorial content, creator tools etc.
What you'll do:
Own one of three “Product Areas” inside the Core Experience department, encompassing several teams that focus on one strategic domain
Manage a team of 3 – 5 Product Managers within your Product Area
Partner with your Tech and Design Product Area Leads to lead your Product Area and foster a culture of impact and performance
Define and drive overall product vision, strategy and metrics for your Product Area and galvanize the teams to follow you
Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to make sure that you and the Product Area provides for the company’s short- and long-term goals.
Make sure that your teams are strong and healthy – including capabilities, happiness, resilience and growth.
Work relentlessly to make sure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify.
Stay on top of Spotify’s strategic and competitive position, filtering this down to your direct reports and your Product Area as a whole
Define OKRs, track progress and measure impact across several teams
Who you are:
You have several years of experience managing and developing well-loved mobile products
Experienced in defining and driving product strategy across more than one team
You are experienced with data driven product development and have deep knowledge of AB testing methods
You have experience and interest in managing and growing direct reports
You have excellent leadership and relationship building skills.
You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels, in different shapes depending on the context
You are good at sorting out ambiguity
You know how to influence decision-making at all levels within an organisation, and in a variety of contexts
You have high standards for yourself and others
You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and take on something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
