Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, we are looking for a Senior HR & Talent Manager to own the People Operations function starting in April. This is a 6 month contract role based in London. We would like this person to work 32 hours per week and the contract has potential to extend.   

The ideal candidate will have experience in HR and recruitment.  As a team of one, you will work alongside the senior leadership team and will play an essential role in managing daily HR operations, leading the organisation's talent strategy for recruitment, onboarding/ offboarding, performance management, learning & development and employee retention programs.  Your interactions with employees will ensure they feel valued, heard and given the right resources and support they need.

HR /Retention/ Learning & Development / Culture

  • Suggest and implement advanced, best practices HR strategies and procedures.  Educate, train and supervise employees on the common HR topics. 
  • Administer performance review cycle, coaching new managers and conducting performance and pay review meetings with senior leadership. 
  • Handling all initial, general employee relations and performance management inquiries and providing overall guidance to employees and supervisors.
  • Creation and maintenance of all employment contracts  
  • Track and monitor probationary periods and sickness absence. 
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of fixed term contracts and provide managers with timely information to inform end of contract decisions and consultation.
  • Lead and facilitate seamless remote onboarding and offboarding experiences.
  • Lead learning & development projects; set up feedback cycles through 360 feedback, organise training/ coaching opportunities, drive employee pay and growth conversations.  
  • Promote healthy relationships between staff and management through mediation and handling disputes

 People Ops / HR Administration 

  • Support for all hands meetings, coordinating anniversary and recognition moments.  
  • Act as the point of contact for all office needs. Studio access & member registration, meeting room reservations, ordering weekly lunches and maintaining the office food, stationery and equipment needs.
  • Handle all benefits administration questions. 
  • Support coordination of UK Visa renewals & sponsor licence & certificates  
  • Coordinate equipment orders/ return collection/replacement


  • Collaborate with management to forecast hiring needs, draft job descriptions, and oversee the applicant tracking system.
  • Manage the whole recruiting and hiring process. 
  • Source and hire across all teams 



  • Interested in audio, tech, music and culture 
  • Experience in HR management and recruitment (5+ years)  
  • Experience working in a remote-first company  
  • A self starter with a demonstrated ability to lead (i.e., organising, planning, problem-solving and decision-making)  
  • You promote diversity & support others. You help create a culture where everyone, no matter their identity or background, can feel valued, accepted and supported. You’re able to think creatively about ways we can maintain and build inclusive & diverse teams. 
  • Experience with HRIS & Applicant tracking systems (We use Workable & CharlieHR)  
  • Familiarity with UK employment law rules and regulations
  • You have led difficult conversations around poor performance/ sickness & handled disciplinary processes.    
  • You have coached managers during performance review processes 
  • You have a good eye for talent with an ability to quickly screen CV’s to identify fit. Sharp interview skills, can screen for both functional and cultural qualities. 
  • You will have hired for product/engineering teams before 
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to engage individuals at all organisational levels. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Innate problem solver - you will take joy in finding processes to improve and challenges to overcome. 


We have a remote-first work culture, although we still have an office in London (Brick Lane) available for anyone to use. This includes an onsite cafe and access to cultural events; Weekly members’ drinks, Monthly Tea @ 3, and Monthly Community Lunch. Weekly wellness events (yoga, meditation boxing etc). We’re a culturally active bunch, with many of us pursuing our passions as DJs, radio hosts or creatives.
