Resident Advisor is the world’s foremost platform for discovering electronic music, artists and events. Described by the NY Times as “the most influential electronic music site in the world”, every month RA reaches more than 5m people across its web, mobile and app properties.

This is an exciting opportunity to have an immediate impact by supporting the electronic music industry. The Media Manager is responsible for generating advertising revenue by working closely with direct clients and media agencies to deliver digital campaigns across the world's largest electronic music community; Resident Advisor.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electronic music, the advertising industry, a history of exceeding individual and team targets and be comfortable generating new business through their already existing network and proactive outreach. You would be joining a successful team that enjoys working together as a unit and regularly celebrates wins.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the media sales pipeline ensuring all revenue targets are exceeded
  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with our media and advertising partners across the electronic music industry
  • Identify new business opportunities and qualify potential partners.
  • Pitching the benefits of RA as a marketing channel to direct clients and media agencies
  • Craft and sell digital advertising campaigns to potential partners
  • Full campaign & account management (from initial contact through to end-of-campaign reporting).
  • Showcase and share knowledge about the full scope of new/existing RA advertising products
  • Cross-department collaboration throughout the sales, onboarding and delivery process
  • Conceptualising new advertising formats that benefit both the audience and clients.
  • Professionally representing the RA brand at all times.
  • Ensuring RA is at the forefront of advertising technologies that will benefit its clients.
  • Willingness to live RA’s values and work towards achieving our goals.

We’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • An understanding of the digital advertising landscape
  • Embedded within their local scene with an existing network
  • Relationships with advertising agencies would be advantageous
  • An understanding of music technology products is desirable
  • A passion and understanding of electronic music culture are fundamental
  • Track record of effective communication, in person and digitally
  • Outgoing personality who builds networks quickly
  • Proven ability to win new business, bring on new partners and exceed targets

This role is a full-time, permanent role and the expected salary is £32.5k (OTE 45k).
