MCPR, a leading PR & Artist Management firm, is currently on the lookout for an aspiring PR agent with an affinity for the electronic music industry. This is a golden chance for those seeking to cultivate their skills, working with a wide array of artists, record labels, and brands spanning across the music industry's spectrum.

The position starts as a freelance role for an initial probation period of three months, requiring a commitment of 15-20 hours per week on a flexible schedule. This opportunity is ideal for a talented and aspiring PR specialist with a firm grounding in the Electronic music landscape across all genres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crafting, editing, and reviewing press releases
• Press release distribution to media platforms
• Conducting interviews with talent
• Contributing and managing PR campaigns
• Scheduling and managing mailing list communications
• Assisting in routine management tasks
• Constructing and updating progress reports for clients

We provide training on the job, depending on your level of expertise.

This role is most suitable for individuals active in the Electronic music industry, media, or business-related disciplines. Candidates without a university education but with exceptional skills or relevant experience in the electronic music industry are also encouraged to apply.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has an eloquent and creative command of the English language
• A background in the Electronic music world
• Can produce engaging, editorial-style articles akin to DJ Mag or Mixmag
• Has a thorough understanding of electronic music genres and their differences
• Has a fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word & Excel)
• Can meet project deadlines consistently
• Has access to a reliable computer and internet connection

The successful applicant will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, fuelled by a passion to thrive as a music industry professional, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. We seek individuals eager to prove themselves as valuable contributors to our business and grow along with us.

The objective of this role is to nurture a talented individual over three months to a point where they could potentially assume a more senior role, such as a Publicist, based on their experience and performance. We are a business that allows talent to define their own role, if they are at the forefront of their expertise and motivation.

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom.

Financials:

Initial probationary period will be determined on a case by case basis for a 3 month period working part time hours.

Entry level full time roles at MCPR start at £22k with a generous bonus and commission package for those that go above and beyond.

Progression is not tiered in a corporate structure allowing MCPR employees the freedom to develop their own role to move up the business.
