Finance Administrator (Contract)

As Finance Administrator, you would be responsible for managing financial processes, including collections, payment recording, and fulfillment for Surefire Agency's roster of artists. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of US domestic tax laws, particularly as they relate to foreign nationals, and a solid foundation in bookkeeping and Xero accounting. This position is remote and requires an average workload of 10 hours per week.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage financial processes, including collections, payment recording, and fulfillment for Surefire Agency's roster of artists.
• Maintain accurate financial records using bookkeeping and accounting software.
• Understand and comply with US domestic tax laws, particularly as they relate to foreign nationals.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to artists and other stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling financial information.
• Stay up-to-date with music industry financial practices and regulations.
• Schedule and run ad-hoc meetings with agents to clear anomalies in booking collections.
• Attend bi-weekly All Hands meetings.

Qualifications

Candidate must be US-based and comfortable working remotely.

• Strong understanding of US domestic tax laws, particularly as they relate to foreign nationals.
• Experience in collections and payment fulfillment for a roster of artists.
• Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting software, particularly Xero.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be US-based and comfortable working remotely.
• Understanding of financial reporting for music industry events.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• Passion for music and contributing to artist equity.
