Social Media Manager - Audio Technology

Based: High Wycombe / Hybrid
Term: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £30000 - £35000 pa + excellent benefits

The Role:

This role is accountable for the success of the Focusrite brand in organic community marketing: including social media, outreach and our presence on forums. This means understanding our audience and how to talk with them, the channels we have at our disposal, and what content we should be sharing to maximise reach and engagement.

The role will deliver their own objectives, a rolling annual strategy and clear and concise plans for each channel, influencing the teams around them to grow and deliver engagement with our audiences in line with company goals.

Our Social Media Manager works directly with AR/PR team to ensure our social presence is as engaging and as timely as possible, keeping us up to date with current events and showcasing the amazing people we work with. Social Media Manager and AR/PR/Media Manager should be working in a constant feedback loop, sharing content both ways and maximising our AR impact in particular, as well as articles and other PR opportunities that arise.

The role is a stakeholder in all Focusrite marketing plans and is responsible for delivering a community engagement plan to compliment every marketing strategy, maintaining a rolling calendar, KPI’s, and inputting their content requirements to the team.

The Social Media Manager works closely with the digital team to align on the paid campaigns that team will deliver, ensuring a consistency of branding and messaging and maximising engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a background in MI or audio technology.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day social posting for the Focusrite Brand
  • Maintaining a constant feedback loop with Marketing, Product, CX and other departments, with particular focus on what our audience is saying, asking about etc – this role represents our audience within the business
  • Delivering and upholding objectives and a rolling annual strategy and campaign roadmap which feeds directly into our company OKR for engagement
  • Maintaining a channel strategy and upholding best-practice for all channels
  • Upholding the best possible understanding of how to communicate with our audience across those channels, and the content we need to do so
  • Maintaining regular reporting
  • Requesting regular content for our social channels to keep us timely and maximising engagement
  • Having a social media plan and objectives for every Focusrite campaign
  • Managing our presence on forums and other online communities, ensuring we’re promoting positive conversation around the brand and products and recognising advocates
  • Ensuring the relationship with AR/PR/Media is solid, that our socials accurately reflect the amazing partnerships we have, and that AR/PR/Media team know how those partners should be engaging with our socials, e.g., hashtags
  • Working with the digital team to maximise engagement of paid social campaigns, and keep look and feel consistent
  • Maximising accessibility of our content for socials and communities, upholding best practice
  • Reporting monthly, quarterly, and annually against objectives and OKR

Skills and experience required:

  • Comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the platforms and how they’re used
  • Demonstrable ability to jump on social media trends and put out content people want to see
  • Experience of understanding and interpreting our brand and empathise with our customers
  • Ability to create great social copy, and to a high standard of written English
  • Ownership of social metrics, and an ability to determine what we should measure and what that means for us
  • Any relevant qualifications would be an advantage
