Operations Planner

Based: High Wycombe / Hybrid
Term: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £25000 - £30000 pa + excellent benefits

The Role:

Support the Operations team with the day to day running of the department, with a particular focus on ensuring orders, stock and forecasts are accurate and up to date to support the work of the Purchasing and Sourcing functions.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

  • Purchase order placement and management: responsible for creating, sending, and updating Purchase Orders to CMs to ensure Demand Forecast is up to date.
  • SKU creation and ongoing data maintenance in Netsuite in line with all phases of the product lifecycle, from conception through to EOL.
  • Ops representative as part of FPS projects:
      • Responsible for FPS the planning and completion of Operations FPS deliverables.
      • Work with Programme Team to ensure Ops FPS deliverables are representative and stay up to date.
  • Ownership of consignment stock data in Netsuite, ensuring it is accurate and updated regularly in line with the Consignment Stock process:
      • Review monthly consignment reports from CMs
      • Raising vendor requirements via PO for consignment and spot buys
      • Adjusting spot buys via inventory adjustment by following agreed process
      • Support Sourcing Manager with achieving consignment KPIs.
  • Support for operational Projects and continuous improvement.
  • Scope for working on getting reporting/data infrastructure in place with support from others with BI knowledge. What are the reports and KPIs that we want across:
      • Demand Planning
      • Sourcing
  • Back-up and support team members during absences and/or heavy volume times, including audit support.
  • Carrying out Inventory Management functions such as receipting of goods and checking inventory levels.
  • Supporting Brand level Purchase and Demand Planner with Demand Planning responsibilities where applicable.
  • Responsible for intercompany stock transfers (FAEL to FGEMEA):
      • Supporting FGEMEA for inventory requirements

Tier 1:

  • Purchasing and Demand Planner
  • Strategic Sourcing Manager
  • Ops counterparts in FGEMEA and other regions.
  • CMs.

Tier 2:

  • Project Management/Production Engineering – scheduling production and NPI status.
  • Others

Communications:

  • Email, Zoom, in-person.

Skills and experience required:

  • Operational, ideally logistics and/or demand planning, background.
  • Able to evaluate current processes and ways of working and identify and implement improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal comms required.
  • Good interpersonal skills: able to work effectively with those in sphere of interactions.
  • Competent excel user, including use of formulas and amalgamating data from multiple sources and systems to conduct analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
