Production Engineering Lead (Audio Electronics Manufacturing) (m/f/d)
Location: Berlin office, hybrid
Term: Full-time, Permanent

If you have answered yes to all the above, we’d love to hear from you! We are expanding our engineering team, and we are looking for someone to join us in a brand-new technical leadership role as we develop our next generations of studio monitors.
This role provides an opportunity to grow into a management role as the team continues to grow and develop.
This role will involve travel to visit our local project engineers and contract manufacturers in China and Europe (subject to Covid-19 travel restrictions).
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be the hands-on expert for all engineering topics relating to the manufacturing of our products. You will put in place appropriate processes and tools to ensure that our product designs can be put into mass production in a predictable and repeatable way.
You will be the point of contact within the Berlin-based Engineering team for both our colleagues in China, as well as our onsite Production team in Berlin.
As with any leadership role, building relationships with key stakeholders will be key to your success. You will need to build and maintain productive relationships with our manufacturers and colleagues in China, our Operations and Production teams in Berlin, and across the Engineering department.
Your key activities include:
- Establishing and evolving Production Engineering best practice, and leading ongoing improvement initiatives across the team.
- Providing engineering support to our Production teams and contract manufacturers.
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Cost analysis and product cost reporting
- Investigating new manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
- Submitting new products for regulatory certifications & approvals according to ourestablished guidelines.
- Providing input to staffing and budgeting, including long-range planning and hiring.
- Lead production engineering meetings including other departments.
An ideal candidate is likely to be:
- An established or emerging leader, with the desire and ability to make improvements to things.
- A clear communicator, with a proven track record of technical problem solving and stakeholder management.
- Confident building relationships with overseas contract manufacturers & suppliers.
- Familiar with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Knowledgeable about ‘component engineering’ & part selection principles forelectronics.
- Experienced with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Educated to degree level in a related engineering subject – Electronics, Electrical,Mechanical, Manufacturing Systems, etc.
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English.
- Willing to travel abroad.
- Passionate about music and audio technology.
