Job Description

We’re looking for someone with drive, enthusiasm and a passion for/knowledge of new music to set up and manage the label group. Aimed at showcasing the music created on our artist development programme (and beyond), the labels will shine a light on the incredible new music coming out of India. 

In a time of change and uncertainty, this role will explore new ways of working in the production and distribution of new music, with the opportunity to test ideas and approaches that put artists at the heart of decision making. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone in their early-mid career to develop their skills and experience in a supported environment, and to establish and shape the future of this exciting new venture. 

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

Label Group Manager for the following labels 

  • boxout.fm Recordings 

  • AfterShock Records 

  • MSB World 

  • 264 Records 

This opportunity includes mentoring and training to support your professional development as you grow into the role. As this process evolves you will be supported to build and establish the label group, including recruitment of two additional posts ( Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer) who will work alongside you and the team. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and oversee the growth and establishment of the labels 

  • Engage enthusiastically with a broader programme of professional development (including mentoring, training and networking) 

  • Build strong relationships with artists, artist managers and partners 

  • Work collaboratively to build and shape a consistent release and event schedule 

  • Constantly look for new artists and talent

  • Develop existing talent with long-term relationships with the labels we represent  

  • Represent Label group at events, festivals and conferences 

  • Work alongside artists to optimise each release 

  • Work closely alongside distribution teams to ensure each track is delivered and released on time 

  • Work with the comms team to ensure a compelling marketing strategy 

  • Ensure all administration and contractual details are accurate, and delivered in a timely manner 

  • Manage project budgets and other financial responsibilities
