About Dekmantel
Within the world of music, Dekmantel is a pioneering organization with a focus on electronic music in the broadest sense of the word. We organize three festivals at home and abroad (Dekmantel Festival, Lente Kabinet and Dekmantel Selectors), run a music label and are generally involved in various projects in which we believe. The love and passion for music run deep within our team and we feel a special connection to everyone who shares this feeling.

Responsibilities and key tasks
As head of the Marketing & Communication department you will be responsible for guiding and leading a team of marketing & communication enthusiasts. You will be responsible for all communication strategies, our social media channels, festival campaigns, label PR and our brand partnerships. You’re inventive and creative and have the ability to create distinctive ideas and campaigns. Aside from your creative capacities you feel comfortable with analyzing the available data and using this as an input for your marketing strategies. You work accurately and are able to tie all aspects of our business (label, website, social media channels, events) together in order to create a strong and cohesive brand. 

You feel closely related to the communities that Dekmantel is part of, and are able to position and promote new Dekmantel initiatives under its current and prospective target audiences. You know how to inspire, motivate and mentor your team, and are able to guide and handle crisis situations. You’re a good writer and are able to positively position Dekmantel in various press outlets.


·   You’re responsible for all marketing & communication affairs for our festivals, the label and the Dekmantel brand in general

·   You develop the individual and general marketing & communication strategies for our various events

·   You manage and control the marketing & communications budgets, and make sure these are governed within their set limits

·   You lead and manage the entire marketing & communications team (our internal department as well as our extended network of freelancers) 

·   You’re responsible for the creation of all our content on all our media channels (socials, website, newsletters, etc.) 

·   You develop initiatives which are in congruence with our Corporate Social Responsibility policies 

·   You are in charge of developing and monitoring our social media policy

·   You manage and maintain existing media partnerships / relationships and are actively building new ones 

·   You initiate a data strategy and make sure that all the available data (sales, marketing & communication metrics, etc.) is accurately analyzed

- You create a fitting sales strategy for our events

Core competencies and background

·   You’re well known with Dekmantel and understand its international musical and cultural environment of communities, festivals and club culture

·   You have at least 3 years of experience within a similar role within discipline of Marketing & Communication

·   You’re an experienced strategist in the field of Marketing & Communications

·   You’re a teamplayer and hold the capacities and experience for managing and leading both internal- as well as external team members. 

·   You feel comfortable in managing various projects at the same time from start to finish

·   You have experience in dealing with SEO, google analytics and other tools for targeting and data analysis
