Term: Full-time, Permanent

Location: High Wycombe

We're looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to join Focusrite’s Programme Team. The successful candidate will be organised, a quick learner, and able to lead cross-functional project teams that include members of Product Design, Engineering, Sales and Marketing.

You will be part of a team of enthusiastic team of project managers, delivering industry leading sound recording and music production equipment, in an exciting company which is committed to grow and evolve.

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Programme, Engineering and Product Management leadership to produce product development strategies that can deliver on Business Case and product roadmap objectives.
  • Apply and leverage our bespoke PRINCE2 derived project management framework to deliver successful project outcomes, generating project delivery plans and detailed stage plans with deliverables and review gates.
  • Work closely with the cross functional delivery teams, managing priorities, resolving workload conflicts, and planning and coordinating the stage deliverables from product concept validation through to mass production. Project ownership will be for the entire development process “End to End”.
  • Take ownership of project risk management: exposing, documenting and ensuring mitigation plans are successfully implemented as part of your projects.
  • Be responsible for estimating project costs, tracking the project performance measures (schedule/cost/quality) across the programme, and helping to maintain healthy Business Cases.
  • Work alongside Scrum Masters in the organisation to deliver the total value proposition for new products, including accompanying software and customer experience elements.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal project teams and contract manufacturing partners to produce successful project outcomes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous Project Management experience with new product development (NPD) lifecycles and project managing the development of hardware products.
  • Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proven track record of taking a product from concept to mass production
  • Experience using dedicated Project Management software to plan deliverables and identify critical path activities.
  • Demonstrate excellent spoken and written English.
  • Possess excellent communication and analytical skills 
  • MS Project is ideal
  • PRINCE2 would be beneficial
  • Knowledge and an understanding of Agile principles and methodologies would be an advantage.
