Job Description

Kobalt Music Publishing is looking to hire a highly organized, self-driven and detail-oriented individual to support the Creative team in the Hong Kong office with creative pitching and clearance of rights for our catalogue of songs and help to further develop client relations across Asia.

This role will focus on promoting and expanding our local repertoire in Asia, and will work closely with the global A&R team and ideal for someone with relevant music industry experience, from either the records or publishing side. It’s also a plus if you have an understanding of entrepreneurial work environments where you have to be a proactive self-starter willing to take responsibility. But above all, we are looking for a passionate, friendly, enthusiastic and results-oriented personality!


  • You will be assisting in pitching our catalogue of songs to producers and labels all throughout Asia.
  • You will organize song writing sessions as well as support on setting up writing camps and communicating with clients and internal teams to keep track of new songs being written and administered accordingly.
  • You will also assist in setting up and coordinating meeting schedules and help to maintain existing relationships with clients and business partners in Asia.
  • As well as supporting our Sync team with marketing, administration and support on license preparation, you will also scout and identify new talent.


  • You have a deep interest in current and future trends in music and various genres as well as a solid understanding of music publishing and music rights terminology.
  • You have honed your communication and interpersonal skills and have a track-record of building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
  • You speak, read and write fluently in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
  • You have a detail-driven mind-set with the ability to prioritize work flow as well as set and meet deadlines.
