About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, tech-savvy creative Digital Marketing Manager to help expand our brand, inspire audience attendance and ticket sales, amplify our ethos, develop new partnerships opportunities and build loyal communities of followers. This role is a key position within the company and will lead the overall management of our social media platforms, website properties, eNewsletters, paid ad campaigns and on-premise advertising. 

The successful candidate will have strong marketing skills, a high level of creativity, a passion for content creation, an innovative and edgy style, and excellent project management and communication skills.  The ideal candidate also has a deep love for live events, electronic music and nightlife while also being a fan of variety theater, festivals and drag shows. 

This role is best suited for those who are ‘Right-Brained’ and ‘Left-Brained’- Flexible enough to switch from data-driven reporting and strategic planning into creative ideation and art direction at a moment’s notice.  In addition, the ideal candidate is audience-obsessed and enjoys connecting with fans in the digital space by creating buzz and building community in a positive and inspiring way.

Senior Marketing Director & Creative Director

Marketing Team:
Marketing Coordinator, Social Media/Content Creator(s), Graphic Designer(s),  Media Team.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing specifically in managing social media platforms and creating content. 

  • Hands-on experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Soundcloud as well as relevant social media analytics, and applications/software.

  • Experience with creating compelling digital content and designs, ideally short-form video content. 

  • Strong background and familiarity with creating and optimizing paid digital ads on platforms such as Meta Business Manager and Google Ads Manager. 

  • Familiarity with the House of Yes brand, events, culture, programming and ethos.

  • Knowledge of and passion for electronic music DJs, genres and audiences.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time in a calm and focused manner. 

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities with the ability to take initiative and lead relevant projects. 

  • Experience managing multiple projects and/or campaigns simultaneously. 

  • Outstanding copywriting skills with focus on crafting compelling messaging that captures creative brand expression, relevant culture and humor. 

  • Strong attention to detail - hyper-organized & highly accurate.

  • You are a passionate and inspired self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced, multidiscipline, collaborative environment.

  • Experience with basic graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Canva or Illustrator. 

  • Experience directing and/or creating short-form video content specifically for IG reels, Tiktok or video ads is a strong plus. 

  • Familiarity with commonly used concepts, operations and promotions of ticketed live events, nightlife culture and hospitality is a strong plus. 

  • Familiarly with branded partnerships and experiential marketing is a big plus. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead marketing initiatives across all channels including but not limited to social media channels, email campaigns, event listings, paid media, promotional partnerships, press and influencer opportunities. 

  • Manage eNewsletter content and audiences using MailChimp or other content management system.

  • Craft, curate, publish, and manage social media content in collaboration with in-house Social Media Manager with a focus on highlighting upcoming events, our brand and relevant cultural happenings. 

  • Write, edit, update and curate content for House of Yes web pages as needed. 

  • Engage with the HOY community of fans and followers, sharing UGC, identifying opportunities for follower engagement and audience development including through DMs and comments. 

  • Collaborate with in-house teams as well as event co-producers, artists and talent managers to create marketing strategies and execute campaigns for specific events, shows and activations. 

  • Execute on high impact content creation through visual design and copywriting, working with event partners and freelancers on graphic design, photo and video creation. 

  • Overseeing and executing paid digital ads including creative assets, ad content and audience targeting while tracking budget and optimizing ad effectiveness. You will be expected to test and improve paid-ad creative to ensure campaign results of all digital campaigns, using learnings to optimize performance and set future targets. 

  • Support new outreach, partnerships and creative strategies to increase ticket sales and audience growth with a focus of building a loyal community of fans. 

  • Align all content and engagement efforts with the HOY brand narrative, personality, and tone, while helping to develop fresh brand identities for different projects, properties, event concepts and purposes. 

  • Work with in-house and/or third-party content creators to collect content from events, conceptualize & complete short-form content for social media, etc. 

  • Help maintain relationships with key industry contacts and digital promotional partners, working with them on promotional activities, content creation, exclusive events and other partnership opportunities.

  • Lead the collection and creation of marketing assets with both internal and external media teams to develop short-form video content, digital graphics, digital event flyers, printer materials  and animations. 

  • Stay current on trends, best practices and digital landscape relevant to nightlife and live events with an eye towards innovation and developing new ideas.

Hours & Expectations

  • Flexible remote/hybrid schedule (2-3 days on average per week in our Bushwick office)

  • Some assignments may require remote work during evening, weekend or holiday hours to accommodate special events and specific deadlines.

  • Expected to attend at least one HOY event or show per week.

  • 70-80k Salary commensurate with experience.
