ASSOCIATION FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC – REGIONAL MANAGER
Start date: August/September
Hours:flexible Approx. 40 hours per week/full-time
Days: Monday - Friday
Location: UK/Europe (remote)
Fixed Payment: $3375 monthly
Commission: 20% commission on new members, partnership and sponsorship deals; 10% on year 2 renewals
Reporting into: CEO
Contract Term: Initial 12 months ( 3 month probation period), thereafterrolling contract with 3-month notice period

FOCUS AREAS AND OBJECTIVES:
Membership acquisition and retention; business development:
New business - primary focus is to identify and bring on board new members; bring on partnership and sponsorship deals where possible, working closely with the CEO.
Relationship management / value delivery – understand key member needs and seek to deliver value accordingly to help with membership retention.
Work closely with CEO to grow and develop the organisation, its membership and its value to the global electronic music ecosystem
Review our member connections tools and meetings structure and present ideas on how to optimise member engagement.
Review our membership benefits offering and marketing materials and present ideas on how to optimise.
Support delivery of selected group member meetings once established in role (working with group co-chairs, CEO and AFEM team as needed)
Campaigns and Initiatives:
Working with CEO and membership manager, identify key working group initiatives requiring further support
Identify key music trade bodies & collectives to collaborate with for effective lobbying and intel sharing.
Media representation as appropriate
Build/maintain relationships with key global conferences and develop panel and event opportunities.
Event planning with Events & Comms Manager and CEO as required Act as panel/event moderator of AFEM representative as appropriate
You have a proven track record in sales and business development in the music industry and are confident at prospecting and pitching
You are outgoing and have a wide professional network with strong, pre-existing electronic music industry relationships across some of these key sectors: publishers, record labels, booking agents, artist managers, Digital Service Providers, distributors, music-related tech companies, live & festival sector.
You are a pro-active, self-starter who is equally able to take instructions as you are to take the initiative.
You enjoy both collaborative and self-directed projects and can work effectively in each.
You are outgoing and have a wide professional network with strong, pre-existing electronic
You have a strong understanding of the music industry and how its various sectors interact. A broad understanding of domestic and international European electronic music markets is a bonus
You are resourceful and can work effectively with limited resources.
