ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven New Business Manager. You are naturally curious, get energy from talking to people and don’t shy away from a little hustlin' like Rick Ross. You make cold calls feel warm and make outbound B2B sales feel personal. You have a structured and creative way of getting in touch with brands and connecting with the right stakeholders.

As our New Business Manager you:

  • Have a love for music and branding. Don't worry if you're not an expert on music strategy and playlisting yet; we will make you just that.
  • Have +3 years of experience in a Sales and Customer facing role. Ideally in the agency or branding space.
  • Have a – excusez le cliché - natural enthusiasm and confidence with in-person sales meetings.
  • Have a large and relevant network with decision makers working for brands and/or (music)agencies.
  • Have experience talking to procurement and negotiating enterprise deals, just like Chris Voss.
  • Prefer to work in a young and agile company and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communicator in English and ideally also Dutch. 

Even better if you have:

  • Knowledge of music (composition) and experience in record collecting.
  • Skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch to blow people away with your convincing pitch decks.
  • Experience with developing brand identities, marketing strategies and brand briefings.
  • General knowledge of how the digital music landscape works (PROs, DSPs, Royalties, Music Licensing).

You will have full ownership of the sales cycle and the process. From creation, nurturing, engaging leads, to creating compelling commercial proposals that fit their brand needs perfectly. Your ultimate objective is to expand our customer base and turn newly signed customers into strong kollekt.fm ambassadors. 

As our New Business Manager you will be: 

  • Creating a structured and creative process to attract new leads and create opportunities. 
  • Constantly improving our sales processes and methodologies.
  • Outbound prospecting new leads in international markets (EU, USA, UK).
  • Blow people away with your convincing sales decks and pitches.
  • Closing deals and successfully implementing new partnerships. 
  • Engage with senior client stakeholders at all levels of the customer’s organisation. This includes: creative directors, marketing managers, CTOs, CFOs and CEOs.

We are a music agency on a mission to change the dusty world of background music. We create highly custom music strategies for retailers, restaurants, hotels, gyms, co-working spaces, supermarkets, and clubs around the world.
