Software Developer (C++)
Hybrid / remote working with offices based in London
Full-time, Permanent

The Role:

We're looking for an experienced Cross-platform C++ developer to work with us on the next stage of development of Ampify Studio, our industry defining music-creation platform.

Ampify Studio has a deep technology stack, and will require high level user interface design, low level DSP work and everything in between. The platform is powered by our Ampify sounds API, and so knowledge of working with REST APIs would be a benefit.

You'll work as part of a Scrum team that quickly iterates and responds to user feedback. You'll directly contribute ideas and see them rapidly become part of the product. 

Remote workers should reside within 2 hours of GMT.


  • Develop engaging and beautiful interfaces.
  • Translate user stories into functionality.
  • Write excellent, maintainable code, and take part in code reviews.
  • Discuss design and implementation details with the rest of the team.
  • Participate in pair programming sessions with peers‚ÄØas well as team swarming sessions.
  • Review pull requests from other team members.
  • Coach and advise more junior members of the team.
  • Attend scrum ceremonies.
  • Contribute to design workshops.

Skills and experience required:

  • You have a BSc / BEng or higher in a relevant field (Computer Science, Software Engineering etc). Alternatively, you have directly relevant industry experience.
  • You have 3+ years of experience working on C++ based projects.
  • You are proficient with Modern C++ (14+), CMake and Git best practices.
  • You practice continuous integration/deployment (we use Circle CI).
  • You're a strong advocate for testing code.
  • You have worked with a large C++ framework.
  • You enjoy working in an Agile environment.
  • You are passionate about music and audio technology.

Experience of any of the following would be an advantage:

  • You have used other programming languages (especially JS / TS)
  • You have worked with RESTful APIs
  • You know the JUCE framework
