Freelance Event Coordinator

We are looking for an event coordinator to work with our events manager, helping deliver CDR events in Bristol.

The role includes:

• Liaising with artists, host and venue manager ahead of arrival at the venue.
• Setting up seating and AV and generally making sure the venue is event ready.
• Ensuring the event starts and ends on time and sticks to the show schedule. Communicate any timing changes to all parties involved.
• Download and prepare Open CDR music submissions (see below) in advance and have them on USB.
• Liaise with videographer about set up and lighting.
• Liaise with venue about recording audio for the videographer
• Clear stage/interview area at end and ensure venue is returned to agreed state.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience running and working on events, ideally music based.
• Basic AV skills eg setting up CDJs, microphones and projector.
• Good communication and time management skills 

Additional Desirable Skills:

• Experience promoting events as well as producing them 
• Strong network of relevant local promoters and artists 

What are CDR Sessions?

Sessions begin with a 'masterclass' workshop where an established producer shares their career perspectives and production techniques. The event then blurs the boundary between audience and artist by inviting aspiring producers in the audience to submit their 'work in progress' tunes to be played in a DJ set of audience only submissions. This creates a unique opportunity for attendees to hear their music on a high quality club sound system, creating a safe environment for peer-to-peer feedback and learning, as well as the development of new collaborative relationships.

Payment: 

Approx 10 hours work per event, which will happen once every 4-8 weeks. Rate is £100-£200 per event delivered depending on experience.
