Job Description

Pollen is seeking a Marketing Associate with an understanding of the music industry (live music background preferred), social media and marketing entertainment experiences to a variety of audiences.  In this role, you will take part in a complete marketing experience as you support every facet of our travel products’ lifecycle for one of Pollen’s key business units, focused on specific music genres in the world of Hip-Hop and its music culture-driven community.  You will partner across marketing verticals and with a cross-functional matrix team, helping to shape the narrative of our products across the end-to-end customer journey. Connecting consumers with our unique travel experiences that combine blockbuster performing artists, the most exciting destinations, travel itineraries and luxe accommodations.

The ideal candidate should have experience in assisting with the development of strategic marketing plans, creative asset approval processes and writing social media copy. In this role, the Associate will be instrumental in the creative asset approval processes through the development and distribution of creative assets, so a background in talent relations is helpful as is a deep understanding of venues and ticketing worlds. 

This role requires a professional who thinks and acts both strategically and tactically.  Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment is critical.  Experience at start-ups also is helpful.  

In the first 12 months you will:

  • Oversee the asset creation process of campaign materials, ensuring brand alignment, error-free creatives, effective storytelling and strict timelines with the goal of driving conversion. All while working with various internal and external departments (CRM, Growth, Designers, and external PR teams) Success will be defined by quality of creative, efficient rather than micro-managed workstreams, and high satisfaction scores from both partner and creative team.
  • Support end-to-end campaign lifecycle strategy across CRM, organic and paid Socials and design, keeping in mind partner brand guidelines and platform best practises to make recommendations that are both on-brand, savvy and relevant to the target audience
  • You will look to find new channels to activate and test effectiveness, managing the relationships with external partners and organising social media campaigns, aligning closely with the overall marketing strategy for each experience. 
  • Assist in the development of weekly performance marketing reports and marketing analyses per campaign, to ensure campaigns are achieving goals. This includes collecting reports from external stakeholders as necessary 
  • Ensure events are listed across artist and leading venues websites, Facebook events, Bandsintown and more.
  • Send approved marketing material to digital agency/internal paid team.
  • Create a process for tracking links and distribute them to relevant partners.
  • Collect and send invoices to the Accounts Payable team, making sure these are entering the queue to get paid on time. Checking in with A/P on the status of these periodically.
  • Liaising with the Product Management to confirm all marketing timelines agreed with the Marketing Lead are communicated with all internal teams.
  • Liaise with the PR and artist teams for press release sign off, interview requests and contra deals. Collect and distribute press coverage to all key partners.

Other projects to drive growth may be assigned from time to time.
