Job Title: Sales Support Specialist

Based: Nashville, TN

Term: Permanent, Full time

Salary: $35-$45K pa + Excellent benefits

The Role:

The Sales Support Specialist is a member of the Focusrite Group US Operations team and is responsible for promoting and maintaining positive customer relations by processing and tracking sales orders received from Sales team members and third-party dealers. The successful candidate should be detailed oriented, self-starting, motivated, fast learning, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.

This is a hybrid role with the emphasis on remote working.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage incoming communications from customers and internal staff via email and phone to:

  • Establish and maintain positive and productive business relationships with internal and external customers
  • Review sales orders for accuracy
  • Provide product availability information
  • Provide order status updates

Accurately enter sales orders within established department standards:

  • Process customer purchase orders, monitoring any holds on the customer account and working with the finance department to release them.
  • Determine whether sales tax applies to each order
  • Determine whether freight charges apply to each order, and if so, invoice appropriate freight charges
  • Set the appropriate freight method for the order.
  • Send order acknowledgments to sales and dealers

Manage open orderbook per the department guidelines:

  • Help ensure that eligible orders ship on time including working with Sales, Operations and 3PL to resolve issues preventing shipment
  • Update estimated shipping dates
  • Reallocate stock where necessary to optimize current month sales
  • Additional administrative work as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications/Experience required:

  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneNote)
  • Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP platform preferred
  • Positive attitude and ability to establish customer rapport and build relationships
  • Ability to work from home with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and accurate verbal and written communication to internal and external customers
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task
  • Flexibility to work cross-functionally and contribute in a rapidly changing business environment
  • 2+ years customer service and/or sales administration experience
  • Basic Professional Audio product knowledge and/or exposure a plus
  • Music Industry exposure gained through school, past work history or personal performance a plus
