Role: Creative Designer

Reports into: Lead Designer 

Location: Whitechapel, London

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Who we are:

A Man About A Dog are London’s biggest underground event organisers, holding parties in unique and unusual locations across the capital and are the exclusive music promoters at Tobacco Dock.

Our brands include LWE, Junction 2 Festival, COGO, SPHERE and ION Festival and we frequently collaborate with a number of other exciting names, like Elrow, Abode and Hospitality.

We’ve held events in rolling greenlands, derelict warehouses, intimate club spaces, decorated music halls, a royal park, and even the Metaverse. Nowhere is off limits. Working across genres and demographics, we are knowledgable, adapable and daring, producing our shows from the ground up,transforming spaces to create unforgettable dancefloor experiences.

 

 JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Responsible for creating a wide range of content, including animation, video, artwork and illustration 
  • Responsible for the artistic concept, development and delivery of each in-house event 
  • Creating and developing the visual brand for LWE, Junction 2, COGO and ION and all associated brands 
  • Applying typography, imagery and layout techniques 
  • Generating creative concepts and ideas to promote events 
  • Creating and adhering to brand guidelines across each event to maintain consistency
  • Liaising with the marketing team to deliver promotional creative. 
  • Responsible for the delivery of digital and print design assets 
  • Responsible for the design of in-house e-flyers and mailer templates 
  • Working with the production and operations team to create signage, bar menus, site maps and tokens 
  • Responsible for the design and production of event programmes 
  • Designing and delivering company decks to a high standard 
  • Responsible for briefing event photographers and videographers for events and promotional content
  • Update design knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and courses 
  • Protect organisation's value by keeping information confidential  
  • Liaising and commissioning bespoke design with external agencies, designers, photographers and videographers 

 MUST HAVE

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator)
  • Strong video editing skills
  • Knowledge of layout & typography
  • Strong passion for electronic music
  • A knowledge of the London dance music scene
  • Excellent time management and ability to follow tight deadlines
  • Must be confident presenting ideas to internal and clients 
  • Detail oriented and good communication skills with all team members
  • Ability to adapt to your designs based on feedback from team and external agencies

DESIRABLE

  • 3d Design skills (Cinema4d / Blender)
  • Animation skills (After Effects)
  • Drawing & Illustration skills
  • Audio editing skills
