Forward Motion Artists are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our marketing team. Working alongside Content Creators and the Marketing Manager, the role is to manage day to day social media execution across all digital platforms for one of our artist clients.
Collaborating with graphic designers, animators, editors, photographers, and videographers to create rich, engaging content that maintains a consistent visual style and is aligned with the brand aesthetic and design guidelines.
Responsible for the overall look and feel of the IG page, ensuring the page and IG stories look consistent.
Build a creative and engaging social media schedule for multiple platforms including IG, FB, YouTube and TikTok.
Keep an up to date social media calendar of all posts scheduled to go out on artist platforms (event announcements, music releases, radio show, brand ambassador posts, gig recaps etc).
Post and schedule content across multiple social media platforms.
Boosting and running ads.
Keeping a log of all ad spend in a google doc.
Liaising with all promoters for show promo requests.
Reactively and proactively engage with the community and respond to social media messages, inquiries, comments and tags.
Updating the artists website, Soundcloud page, YouTube page, Spotify page etc as and when needed (radio show uploads, new releases, adding gigs, etc).
Updating SongKick, Bands in Town with any new gigs.
Following up with all promoters and content capture teams for content after gigs.
Keeping an organized archive of all content (photography, video clips, live mix recordings etc).
Sending over content to promoters for show promotion when requested.
Ensuring all artwork across artist platforms are up-to-date (YouTube banners, Facebook covers, Website homepage banners etc).
Identify and tap into emerging TikTok and Instagram trends and tools to maximize the reach and success of our content, grow engagement and expand our community on the platform.
Keep up to date with current design, culture and audience trends and apply relevant trends to content ideas + briefs.
Brainstorm new ideas to grow our channel audiences.
Previous experience in a similar marketing or social media role is required.
Ideally you will have knowledge of the electronic music scene.
Must have a great eye for design and aesthetic - a fashion background would be a bonus.
You should be genuinely interested in current social media, design and culture trends.
You have experience in working with creatives (photographers, editors, videographers, animators, etc).
You have the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and prioritize to meet strict goals and deadlines.
Strong understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube and Facebook is essential.
