Flash is a growing music venue specializing in electronic music located in the Shaw district of Washington DC. We are actively seeking to grow our team with ambitious individuals who share a passion for music, hospitality, and nightlife.


DIGITAL & MARKETING COORDINATOR - Flash is currently seeking digital marketers to join the marketing team and provide important administrative support. This person will produce creative music, talent, events and nightlife related content for our social media channels, website, and marketing campaigns. 

The candidate will be directly responsible for a wide variety of communications channels including company website, newsletter marketing, social media, advertising, promotions, and PR, and generally ensuring that all audience touch points adhere to the venue’s vision. Also communicating  of brand story through digital media and being highly organized, detailed oriented, a proactive self starter, and a team player, a must/


  1. Knowledge of nightclub and entertainment functions, including experience in a similar position
  2. A deep knowledge and understanding of social media channels and ads
  3. Responsible for a wide variety of communications channels including PR and generally ensuring that all audience touch points adhere to the venue’s vision
  4. Demonstrate excellent writing skills with knowledge of in-language marketing
  5. Strong understanding of event strategy, operations, and integrated event marketing
  6. Background and network in music and events communities
  7. Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.) highly preferred
  8. Working knowledge of web design and desktop publishing applications
  9. Experience working in a fast-paced environment 


  1. Work in tandem with members of the marketing team 
  2. Develop unique copy to connect to audience and promote upcoming talent and events
  3. Prepare and deliver press releases and event copies
  4. Data entry: updating of website, promotional and ticketing website and ensuring consistency across all platforms
  5. Focus and develop on multiple events with specific marketing plans and strategies
  6. Develop strategies to grow outreach and connect with patrons
  7. Working with marketing team to express a common company voice that echoes the brand’s sentiments clearly
  8. Executing the goals of multiple events with competing priorities
  9. Understanding and advocating for social change through education and community supported events and activities
  10. Communication with audience and patrons via social channels 


  1. Develop strategic weekly ad campaigns 
  2. Execute ads across digital ad publishers such as Facebook, Instagram, Google AdWords, and Twitter
  3. Execute and strengthen regional partnerships with local press, blogs, magazines, newspapers, promoter newsletters, etc
  4. Understanding of analytics, reporting, and creation of MoM, QoQ, YoY reports 


  1. Understanding and research of past, present, future musical trends, artists, genres, and scenes
  2. Ability to draft factual, engaging copies, creating a narrative for shows and events
  3. Analyzation of web and social media data, ability to manipulate data in spreadsheet based software such as Excel or Google Sheets
  4. Experience in marketing and event promotions
  5. Excellent communication skills: written and oral
  6. Dependable, prompt, and professional
