Job Description

Based in Buena Park, CA, Studio 60 functions as an in-house creative and digital development agency, for Yamaha musical instrument and audio/visual products. Studio 60 is also responsible for leading media, analytics, SEO and marketing technology. Reporting to the Agency Operations, the Digital Media Manager is the subject matter expert responsible for leading the media team in developing, planning and executing SEM, Programmatic, Paid Social Media and other relevant media programs for Yamaha. While this position will be heavily focused on Digital, the goal is to explore and recommend the right media mix to achieve marketing goals. The ideal candidate will be customer obsessed with a deep understanding of best in class digital media strategies and the role media plays in the holistic customer journey.  You will have a track record of turning customer and media trends and data into compelling insights, strategies, and plans that drive meaningful and measured brand and business results.

Here's What You’ll Do

  • Lead, motivate and manage team in day-to-day planning and execution of media campaigns for Yamaha
  • Drive internal and external resources to provide media recommendations, including, but not limited to: SEM, SEO, programmatic, display remarketing, email, mobile, paid social media, OTT, print, etc.
  • Lead and direct the development of media strategies and recommendations and present to internal marketing and leadership teams
  • Ensure the development, execution, tracking, and reporting of media campaigns is on-time and on-budget
  • Analyze the short and long-term needs of the media strategy and present recommendations on media planning and marketing mix to enable ongoing optimization
  • Partner with product and brand marketing teams to develop media campaigns that meet or exceed marketing goals and KPIs
  • Partner with analytics team to test campaigns and evaluate media results, recapping performance and making recommendations to influence future media and marketing planning
  • Work with our online dealers to enhance the Yamaha brand experience on their websites
  • Work with internal digital development team and outside vendors as needed
  • Create media scorecard and drive and measure performance against KPIs
  • Manage and lead team to manage campaigns and maintain media budgets
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in the media management space, preferably with a top consumer brand
  • 6+ years of experience successfully leading, coaching and mentoring a team
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering optimized engagement and driving action with customers
  • Highly organized and analytical
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; Advanced working knowledge of Excel (pivots, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to capture and analyze data and make clear, insightful recommendations based on performance
  • Ability to understand and relay marketing strategies outlined by the teams and adapt those strategies so that they are relevant for media briefs and efforts
  • High interest and knowledge of trends in marketing and media; ability to recognize impact of new technologies and platforms and how best to use these to drive brand and business performance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate and partner effectively across teams and with outside vendors
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to build a business and drive meaningful change
  • Passionate about music and/or audio
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
