i-D is the original Fashion and Style bible dedicated to fashion, music, art and youth culture. We are fans not critics and communicate to an audience interested in the issues and culture surrounding the fashion industry and its young talent.

About the Role

i-D are looking for an experienced Content Manager to join the team for six months and oversee the publishing and presentation of German language content on our website and social channels. You’ll be responsible for the curation and editing of translated content on the local website to ensure that the site is kept fresh, informative and appealing on a daily basis.

You understand the local German audience and can adapt headlines and deks accordingly to ensure that content is presented in a relevant manner. You’re able to edit headlines and copy to maximise click-through rates in order to increase engagement on stories.

You’re familiar with a variety of content management systems, from websites to social channels, and are able to coordinate and manage a robust programming schedule to ensure a regular stream of output across a variety of distribution points. You know how to best present the story on the platform.


  • Manage a local programming schedule across our website and social channels to ensure a regular stream of German language output. You’ll be responsible for curating these channels on a daily basis to ensure they’re kept looking fresh.
  • Liaise with the translation and editorial team to gain insight into upcoming content that will be translated into local language. When necessary, provide feedback to our team of German language translators on the tone and style of translated content.
  • Edit translations for the local market, ensuring that headlines and copy is optimised to maximise click-through rates and increase engagement on our stories.
  • Utilise reports from the Editorial Analyst, EMEA to analyse performance and adjust programming and output strategy accordingly.
  • Liaise with the audience development department on opportunities to improve SEO performance of new and existing articles and videos within the local German library.


  • Experienced with content management systems and social publishing tools.
  • Strong German and English language writing and editing skills.
  • Familiarity with social channels like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
  • A good understanding of basic SEO best practices.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
