And it is fast becoming the go to platform for end-to-end music education. We’ve been talked about in The Guardian, awarded Innovation Grants and we are working with some of the world’s most iconic music brands and artists including Spotify, Pioneer DJ, Goldie and Double Ivor Nominee, Ghetts. 

 

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced, creative and digitally driven Marketing Director to join our full-time team.

We are interested in highly-talented individuals with initiative and experience. Candidates must have the ability to work hard, bring new ideas to the company and above all else be a fast learner. You will hit the ground running and be mission focussed. You can see the big vision but at the same time execute on the actions needed today.

Shortlisted candidates will need to demonstrate their initiative through previous projects, jobs or ventures.

To successfully manage and grow subscribers/user acquisition you work closely with the CEO and CTO; PR partners, Kingdom Collective (Red Bull Music, Pioneer DJ, Resident Advisor) and Creative Directors, lukecharles (National Trust, MTV, London 2012, Adidas). You will also manage an in-house team.

It will be important for the incoming person to be driven and able to inspire  others, yet able to pick up tasks and projects that may not fall directly in their remit. You love to be involved from concept, to strategy, to detailed execution and delivery.

As the Marketing Manager you are passionate about absorbing business context and using that to make intelligent decisions that benefit long-term-value of the brand and content. In this position, you will be crafting and executing digital, social and online activations.

You will be in charge of creating campaigns that drive conversations and resonates authentically with our audiences and set new standards for education/music marketing.

Some Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Leading global online campaigns to drive brand awareness, user acquisition and fandom.
  • Position brand to make it relevant, loved and fresh across multiple genres and territories.
  • Collaborate with our agencies and internal partners to develop strong, integrated communication projects
  • Support the executive team to build out a marketing strategy that has the best chance of achieving high growth targets
  • Work with partners and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a plan to maximise subscriber acquisition utilising available owned assets and in-house creative team
  • Work with the Creative Director and Creative Agency to deliver exceptional creative content that is impactful, hard working and supports the overall brand positioning
  • Develop and deliver a roadmap of acquisition initiatives that maximises opportunities from the editorial plans, market conditions and past learnings
  • Continually review and optimise all elements of the plan to drive efficient growth
  • Report on the full acquisition funnel metrics and trends daily, weekly and monthly
  • Communicate performance insights to accelerate acquisition and improve efficiency to executive team and board
  • Continually identify opportunities for efficient customer acquisition
  • Continually work with the product team to ensure that the acquisition journey is fully optimised

You will have/be:

  • 5+ years experience in relevant industries
  • Innovative thinker
  • Passionate about the sectors we operate in: music, tech and education
  • Senior experience in digital marketing and user acquisition
  • Marketing professional with proven success working in SVOD subscription services and/or music, fashion, dating, ed-tech brands
  • Ability to lead, drive and inspire a team of highly creative individuals
  • A curious creative mind, with an experience in developing clear and exciting campaigns that generate a buzz to sustain meaningful connections with audiences of different cultural backgrounds across the globe
  • Concise and clear communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Solid understanding of creative positioning and good eye of detail
  • Ability to lead, create and execute campaigns autonomously
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Passion to dive deep on analytics to produce actionable insights
  • Ideally have experience launching new brands and services or working in a start-up environment
  • Proven experience in one or more digital acquisition channel across search, social and display
  • An appreciation of managing the acquisition funnel from traffic generation to site and in-app conversion
  • Commercial experience and return on marketing investment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year
