Job Description

We are looking for a catalog editor to be part of the catalogue strategy team. In this role you will be responsible for programming and maintaining numerous playlists within many different genres and moods. You will work closely with the rest of the music team, and support local markets to identify and fill out gaps as well as build exciting catalogue music campaigns. You must be a team player that sees the clear value in collaboration. Besides a big passion for music, you must have an understanding of what makes a good playlist experience.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Review catalogue music across a multitude of genres and evaluate programming potential
  • Be part of building catalogue marketing campaigns in close contact with design and other teams
  • Curate and maintain a substantial number of catalogue playlists, for a global audience with a focus on, but not limited to Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, Dance, Indie and R&B
  • Using data to identify gaps and optimize playlist experiences
  • Stay up to date with trends and culture, and translate them to compelling music propositions
  • Working with our Global and local editorial teams, genre leads, and other cross-functional teams, to progress towards various content objectives

Who You Are:

  • You have at least 5 years of previous experience from working in the music or entertainment industry
  • You have worked with music for e.g. radio, film, TV or as an A&R
  • Passionate about all kinds of music
  • You have a good understanding of how playlists can be created to fit users needs, even on a very niche level
  • You have a good knowledge of music composition and instrumentation
  • Ability and willingness to work with and respond to data and analytics
  • Strong propensity to take initiative and thrive on change
  • You care about attention to detail and organization, have a team spirit, strong work ethic, and a friendly, warm attitude
