The Universal Music Group & Brands division creates the interface between music, stars, fans and brands. We use the attraction of the stars, the effect of their music and the reach in the communication channels to create unique brand experiences in this context. To this end, we develop creative concepts, license content and advise our customers on the optimal use of entertainment as an instrument in brand management and communication.

We are looking now at our facility in Berlin a Junior Art Designer (m / w / d) initially limited for 6 months with a view to subsequent adoption.

Your Tasks:

  • You will support the initiation of brand deals across all phases from pitch preparation to implementation planning
  • This also includes concept development, graphic and creative visualization, research on artists and fan / audience analyzes for brands and agencies
  • You will oversee individual creative projects in coordination with the respective project manager and the creative lead
  • To do this, you coordinate or create project deliverables, clarify all necessary rights and ensure compliance with project timings and budget requirements
  • You work closely with photo and video productions, brands, artist management as well as national and international label product management
  • You are close to the artist careers and proactively identify starting points for brand partnerships

Requirements:

  • You have successfully completed an apprenticeship or a degree in communication design, media design or graphic design
  • You are confident in handling all common Adobe Creative and Microsoft Office programs
  • You have already gained initial project experience in relation to brand partnerships, ideally in the music environment
  • You can fall back on existing contacts in the areas of brands, agencies and creatives (productions, photography, illustration)
  • You are extremely affine with regard to social media, pop / youth culture, art and artists
  • Ideally, you already have demonstrable experience in community management of lifestyle brands as well as in content planning with a focus on music on Instagram and other social media platforms
