Job Description

We’re seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and adaptable individual who can help support a wide range of client projects across various social media platforms. The Social Media Coordinator is a key member of the social media team focussed on delivering client value and success. As a Social Media Coordinator, you will assist with the execution of various aspects of client projects and campaigns across the digital and social landscape. Ideal candidates will be well-versed in social media marketing, have strong attention to detail, and be comfortable in a fast-paced creative environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • Learn, develop, and nurture a skillset that can be applied as-needed to support the activities of various members of the social media team—including social strategy, account management, community management, creative ideation, and analytics
  • Support Social Account Managers, Social Strategists, and Community Managers across pitches and executions of social projects and campaigns
  • Perform Real-time monitoring of social channels for growth and engagement through strategic content posts and activation 
  • Effectively manage content and communications for social media communities 
  • Managing the posting and scheduling of content across our clients’ social accounts
  • Providing strategic insight regarding content performance to other members of the social media team
  • Monitor social media and the broader digital landscape for key cultural moments and current trends and identify ways for the social team to leverage these topics of interest as part of content development for clients and/or in the creation of content or messaging for campaigns
  • Perform social media and trend focussed research to help guide thinking on pitches and active campaigns  which may be leveraged for client opportunities to engage or create content in social
  • Watch and log films and TV content/programs in order to record key moments from this content that could be leveraged for pitches or active projects
  • Support Account Managers and Social Strategists in the development, approval, and publishing of social editorial calendar content, ensuring posts are published correctly and on time
  • Act as the voice of client’s brand or project in social—engaging with and reaching into client’s communities on social media to build affinity, followings, engagement, and social sentiment—ensuring that all responses to fans are done in the appropriate tone of voice across all social channels, flagging spam, monitoring sentiment, and tracking performance.
  • Participate in the brainstorming and ideation of social content for pitches and active clients
  • Assist in the tracking and measurement of campaigns using manual methods and  social media tools and aid in the creation of campaign reports
  • Work collaboratively with Social Account Managers and Strategists to ensure that all asset creation performed by the Creative team meets the highest standards of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
  • Assist in the development and execution of live-tweeting plans around releases and key moments aligned with a project
  • Assist in the monitoring of the talent, creators, and influencers affiliated with a project and ensure that any key posts are engaged with and important messages are raised to the appropriate party 
  • Help ensure that a steady level of innovation and experimentation is maintained.
  • Identify and research emerging social networks. Stay abreast of social and creative content trends. Devise ways to use the latest social platform products and features as part of social content plans.
  • Help ensure the quality of the concept and work produced by Cashmere Agency is of high standards, and ensure flawless execution of all client deliverables.
  • Assist in QAing creative content and making sure creative is at spec
  • Assist in QAing all social tactics to ensure that any recommendations are optimized and can be executed effectively
  • Build exceptional cross-functional, and cross-departmental relationships across diverse teams both internally and externally
  • Assist in new client onboarding
  • Assist in the development and management of Cashmere Agency’s internal social channels and affiliated entities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, or related field with equivalent experience from a four year college/university
  • Minimum 1 year applicable experience in advertising, marketing, media or similar field. Previous experience in a social agency, creative agency, trailer-house, or other digital marketing or content-focused organization a plus
  • Passion for social media and a strong understanding of the various social media platforms
  • Confidence in speaking with and interacting with client leads as well as internal stakeholders
  • Collaborative and eager to learn
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized self-starter with proven success in managing projects and multiple priorities, simultaneously
  • Solutions-oriented, problem-solver able to proactively help answer unique challenges in effective ways
  • Ability to balance high-priority, long-term projects with short-term, immediate deadlines

  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google Drive, including Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides and Gmail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Social Platform publishing and measurement tools a plus
