Job Summary

We’re looking for a Manager to join our Corporate Development & Finance team.  This role will help drive and evaluate the development of new business initiatives (e.g. new IP, partnerships, licensing deals, other transactions) for Superfly’s themed location-based experience (TLBE) divisions via financial modeling and analysis. The role will also support the growth of the business through the identification and negotiation of new licensing deals and other relevant transactions. The Manager, Corporate Development & Finance will report directly to the Vice President, Corporate Development & Finance. The ideal candidate is a curious, enthusiastic, strategic and analytical thinker with a background in corporate finance and/or corporate development, ideally in an entertainment, tech and/or media-oriented environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Create, update, and analyze dynamic and scalable project-related financial models, developing compelling outputs that track business metrics and performance
  • Evaluate financial feasibility and viability of new business opportunities, and provide suggestions for improvements to recurring projects (e.g. incorporation of new revenue streams, cost-cutting measures, etc.)
  • Assist with division/company-wide financial planning and analysis, with a specific focus on revenue tracking and forecasting
  • Assist with potential new partnership and transaction identification, evaluation, and negotiation, analyzing financials and preparing term sheets as needed
  • Develop and utilize analytical frameworks, KPIs, and applicable metrics and benchmarks to evaluate various opportunities
  • Support Vice President, Corporate Development & Finance in all aspects of project and transaction evaluation, due diligence, and documentation
  • Support development of stakeholder presentations to facilitate management discussions and articulate the company’s strategic vision
  • Support development of client presentations, with a keen ability to relay financial information in a clear and accessible manner
  • Provide analytical and strategic support for ad hoc analyses

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience at a financial institution, consulting firm or a Corporate Development role
  • Media/Entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Proven knowledge base/track-record at analyzing media, tech and entertainment business models
  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA a plus
