Novation Head of Business

Type: Full-time, permanent

Based: High Wycombe, with regular travel

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced business leader to help manage the Novation portfolio of products. The successful candidate will support the Product Team and guide them toward an optimised product strategy for future growth.

This is a senior position, reporting to the Director of Product, Focusrite Audio Engineering Limited.

You will be engaging at the Extended Management Team level to prioritise approved projects, and secure approval for new products and long-term roadmaps.

What you'll be doing:

  • Increasing profitability by building business cases, and analysing Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Return for iterative roadmap scenarios
  • Guiding business decisions, programme prioritisation, and resource allocation to achieve best ROI
  • Updating revenue projections as new information emerges, such as schedule changes and sales forecast updates
  • Analysing retail sales, customer demand, cost of goods, and recommending pricing and promotional strategies
  • Monitoring performance metrics and communicating recommended actions
  • Cross functional leadership in product management, market analysis, and sales forecasting
  • Working closely with Sales and Marketing, Engineering, and Operations, in a “One Culture” work environment
  • Partnering with the Director of Product, to balance product innovation with a sound business process

What experience you'll need to apply:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ progressive experience working in FP&A, or Accounting. Music or audio background is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or similar field
  • A “right first time” mentality, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity and desire and focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong Excel modelling and analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Love of music, and/or music technology is essential

Ultimately, we’re looking for a business leader, who can help guide a team of product managers, deliver amazing (profitable) products into the hands of our customers, and help them to be more creative.
