Job Description

We’re looking for an exceptionally organized communication talent to join the Content & Creative team and lead our social media marketing. Working with our marketing teams in Berlin, LA and contributors from around the globe, the Social Media Manager will drive the creation and programming of social media content for NI's 4 million plus social followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

This is a varied role which is one part channel manager, and one part original content producer. One minute you’ll be the voice of NI -- working with the marketing teams to plan campaigns, and define our social voice. The next you’ll be working with artists and our community to produce original social formats. The ideal candidate is an avid social media user with a passion for music culture and a swiss army knife of creative and communication skills— ideally able to work across social, editorial and video.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Edit, curate and schedule the reposting of UGC and 3rd party content
  • Organize and maintain a social media calendar across key platforms
  • Account management across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Twitch
  • Initiate and produce original channel-specific content -- working with the in-house teams and freelancers
  • Write creative briefs and give feedback on content and assets
  • Plan and execute product release campaigns for social
  • Engage with our community on a daily basis
  • Generate social media reports, with actionable insights based on KPIs and competitive analysis
  • Advocate for social internally by reporting on social media trends and providing teams with best practises, recommendations and actionable insights
  • Work with the Growth team to maximise effectiveness of paid social

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • A structured approach and effortless ability to multitask
  • Working knowledge of social media publishing suites (Sprout) and reporting tools
  • Meticulous organizational skills: Google Drive is your second home
  • A solid understanding of music production and the media landscape
  • An instinctive curiosity about what makes our community of music producers and DJs tick
  • A flair for conversational copywriting with an understanding of the right tone for each channel
  • 5 years’ experience in social media or producing video, editorial or social content for a music, media or technology brand or agency
  • Skills with Journalism, Motion Design, Graphic Design and Video Editing a plus
  • Analytical mindset with experience in reporting statistics and trends
