Songspace is seeking a Sales & Biz Dev Rep to help grow our business in the UK, EU, and Scandinavia. The ideal candidate will be experienced in SaaS sales and have knowledge of music rights. This position is based in the Amsterdam office of our parent company, FUGA. Responsibilities include:

What you do

In addition to proactively reaching out to prospective new clients, this role is responsible evangelizing the unique value opportunities of the Songspace product portfolio to ensure we expand market share in the UK, EU, Scandinavia and Asia.

  • Manage inbound leads through a sales funnel and ensure the broader market understands how we are changing the music rights landscape
  • Investigate new leads through industry research
  • Qualify incoming leads and analyze revenue potential of prospective clients
  • Use CRM system to update and maintain leads, contacts, quotes and all communication with prospects, leads and clients
  • Develop and oversee email marketing campaigns to prospects and leads
  • Work with Marketing to develop improved sales funnels, messaging and content to drive more awareness and direct lead generation into the sales funnel
  • Manage introductory calls, perform Songspace platform demos, and present custom client quotes and packages
  • Work with Management to develop your own sales forecasts and annual target
  • Be a point of contact for our clients in similar time zones
  • Work with Client Services to on-board new clients and guide clients in timely manner to migrate back catalog to the Songspace platform
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and (when necessary) solve technical related issues
  • Acquire client product feedback from the field and document feedback to the product development and product roadmap teams
  • Represent Songspace at local industry events


Who you are

We’re looking for a social, outgoing, industry savvy, communicative team member that has experience dealing directly with business leaders to foster new opportunities and strengthen industry relationships. Some of the core qualities and capabilities that are necessary for the candidate to be successful are:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development or music publishing
  • Creative and independent worker / thinker / planner
  • Knowledge of the publishing and recorded music industry trends and dynamics
  • Analytical and investigative

  • Excellent English skills – written and spoken
  • Strong capability for cultivating trust within partnerships
  • Experience working remotely and communicating effectively between several geographic locations / time zones
  • Confidence in a negotiation and business terms discussion

  • Ability to read basic contract language

The role of International Sales & Business Development Representative is expected to deliver against an annual sales target, but the entire Songspace sale team will be supported by a worldwide ecosystem of companies within the Downtown Music Holdings that are in position to cross-market and resell the Songspace services to their clientele (FUGA, Songtrust, DMP).
