Job Description

The Syndicate is expanding its marketing department and seeks an experienced and extremely motivated professional to join our team. The Digital Marketing Manager will work full-time in our Weehawken, NJ office and work directly with music, comedy and lifestyle clients to see each campaign through from start to finish, conceptualizing and executing the entire social media marketing plan. 

Our ideal candidate is a team player and social media powerhouse who knows how to tell a client’s story and build (not just maintain) their audience online. Applicants should be results-based creatives and strategic thinkers who can take on a number of campaigns at once and be able to react and pivot quickly on campaigns as needed. They should have a proven track record designing and implementing successful social media campaigns and showing results of online growth and increased engagement.

This individual must be a strong writer (with the ability to craft engaging social copy and adopt a different voice for every client, as needed) and must have a passion for pop culture, especially music.


  • 2-5 years of social media and digital marketing experience in the entertainment/music industry

  • Enjoyment of a fast-paced work environment and desire to attend client events, shows, etc (evening & weekend hours as necessary)

  • Proactive and outgoing with a get-it-done attitude

  • Strong-to-expert knowledge of best practices on all social media platforms, especially Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram (but also Snapchat, TikTok and more), with a sense of different community behaviors and points of interests across those platforms

  • Experience developing, maintaining and analyzing social media initiatives, with a strong knowledge of how to attract and retain specific demographics

  • Deep understanding of social media optimization across every platform, and experience using all features each platform offers including the Facebook Business Manager

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.  Must be detail-oriented, innovative and resourceful

  • Familiar with various analytics tools and know how to gauge the success of a campaign as you go. You will be responsible for reporting metrics on a regular basis and constantly assessing how strategy is working or could be improved


  • Experience with influencer marketing

  • Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics 

  • Basic but good design skills and experience using Photoshop and basic/working knowledge of HTML


  • Conceptualizing, executing and refining creative and effective holistic social media strategies: from content calendars to ad strategies to fan acquisition and engagement, as well as contests and promotions

  • Building and growing social media platforms for a wide variety of clients

  • Managing (and/or monitoring) day-to-day activities on social media platforms and apps, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and more

  • Directly interacting with fans and followers, managing promotions and contests; doing regular social listening and engagement and monitoring and reporting on fan/potential fan behavior and interest trends, on and off clients’ channels

  • Strategizing, executing and analyzing social advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google AdWords

  • Analyzing and reporting on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results

  • Training clients in best practices and assessing their use of platforms

  • Monitoring and reporting on new trends in social media, including new platforms, sites and case studies (and implementing them into clients’ campaigns)
