Spotify is seeking a Business Marketing Associate to join the Global Business Marketing team.  You will help create compelling integrated marketing campaigns, inclusive of digital, social, and experiential extensions to bring our value proposition to life for advertisers, creatives and agency executives around the world.  Working closely with partners across the organization and in-market team members, you will support the ANZ Manager in the development, communication, and execution of our global B2B marketing strategy.  Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and culture.      

We are looking for an energetic self-starter and creative marketer who can build relationships across the organization.  The candidate must be resourceful, organized and able to develop well-defined processes to enable effective project rollouts.  This position will report into the ANZ Manager of Business Marketing and is a full-time contract position, based in Sydney.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate event logistics across our portfolio of experiences – from our large Spotify owned events, regional sponsorships, conferences, and smaller agency activations.  Responsibilities may include content development, production support, managing event pages, guest lists & Invites, scheduling executive briefings, driving communication across internal cross-functional teams and external production agencies

  • Coordinate with ANZ Marketing Manager to identify in-market opportunities and organize recommendations on how we can build scalable and innovative programs that drive education and inspiration around Spotify for Brands, and support sales teams in market

  • Support any trade PR needs in conjunction with and the ANZ Comms team

  • Work with key trade organizations to manage global memberships and act as Spotify’s liaison

  • Reconcile program, department, and event budgets; Work closely with Procurement and Finance teams to ensure proper budget tracking and payments including managing PO’s, setting up suppliers

  • Produce and organize branded merchandise, conduct inventory and manage storage

What you’ll bring

  • You have a BA Marketing or an equivalent degree

  • You have several years of experience in the Australian or NZ markets in a B2B marketing role, and extensive experience running complex events / projects with multiple deadlines

  • Experience in a digital media environment is highly regarded 

  • Proficient in keynote / PowerPoint, and experience in Google suite (Drive / Slides / Docs / Sheets)

  • You know how to work both autonomously, as part of a small nimble team, and cross-functionally with different departments both locally and internationally

  • Experienced in working with Sales teams & have a history strong internal relationship

  • Ability to mix creativity with strategic thinking, and demonstrate strong organisational and prioritisation skills are essential

  • Fluent English verbal and written communication

  • Adobe Suite (Photoshop / Illustrator) experience highly regarded
