Social Media Content Lead (Freelance)

Job Description

Crowdsauce is a digital marketing agency building high-performance infrastructure for ambitious event organisers in fast-moving sectors such as music and sport. We don’t just run campaigns, we install systems. Last year, we sold over $55million in tickets using our proprietary Audience Engine. We’re small by design... no politics, no passengers, no hiding. Now we’re looking for someone to help us amplify our voice.

  • Location: Hybrid (4 days remote; 1 day per week in London office)

  • Type: Freelance

  • Hours: 5-10 per week

The Role

This role sits at the intersection of:

Content Strategy × Content Creation × On-Camera Personality

You will take creative control of Crowdsauce’s social media presence.

Your job is to make us impossible to ignore.

You will:

  • Develop weekly and monthly content plans aligned with clear content pillars

  • Brainstorm creative concepts that blend marketing insight, culture and entertainment

  • Identify hooks/trends and adapt them intelligently, without diluting brand authority

  • Turn internal conversations, campaign learnings and event experiences into high-performing content

  • Write magnetic hooks that stop the scroll in the first 3 seconds

  • Script short-form videos with strong structure, clarity and retention in mind

  • Translate complex marketing systems into simple, engaging narratives

  • Film yourself confidently speaking to our audience

  • Represent Crowdsauce’s energy, standards and ambition on camera

  • Create solo and team-based content with charisma and conviction

  • Edit Instagram Reels and TikTok videos to a high aesthetic standard

  • Add captions, pacing, dynamic cuts and retention-focused formatting

  • Optimise content for each platform natively

  • Write compelling captions and post consistently

  • Manage publishing across platforms and maintain a structured content calendar

  • Track performance metrics (watch time, engagement, saves, shares, follower growth)

  • Continuously refine creative direction based on performance data

  • Flag mistakes, flaws and typos, and proactively find or suggest improvements

  • Set up and manage ManyChat automations

  • Build comment-trigger flows and engagement funnels

  • Respond to comments and DMs in brand voice

  • Spot recurring audience themes and convert them into new content angles

Culture & Expectations

We are building something that doesn’t yet exist.

That means:

  • Ownership over ego

  • Systems over chaos

  • Consistent urgency over bursts of motivation

  • Excellence over average

  • Growth over comfort

You will have creative control.

But creative control comes with responsibility and a need for attention to detail.

If something underperforms, we don't blame the algorithm.

We optimise the strategy.
