THE ROLE

We are looking for a senior media sales professional, ideally with a background in audio advertising and some experience of branded content. If you are a new business hunter with a strategic mindset, we want to hear from you. You might be currently working at a publisher and are experienced in the intricacies of selling video or audio products to agencies, ATDs and brands direct. This is a huge opportunity to come into a growing business and take real ownership of Mixcloud’s digital media strategy.

You will work closely with the Programmatic, Data & Technology Director to shape the strategy for this business line, own the P&L, lead on KPIs and build the team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Strategy:

  • Build a go-to-market and sales strategy for new ad formats on the Mixcloud platform
  • Develop and iterate our media proposition (products, pricing, packaging)
  • Understand how to drive revenue growth across different markets globally
  • Champion the role and importance of advertising within the business
  • Have a strong understanding of the wider market trends and help ensure Mixcloud’s proposition remains best in market

Execution:

  • Sell Mixcloud’s media proposition to both media agencies and directly to brands
  • Build an efficient sales engine — identifying briefs & opportunities, producing media plans and proposals, and closing deals
  • Manage pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Work closely with the Brand Partnerships / LOUD team on pitches and media plans for activation projects with brand partners
  • Manage KPI reporting both internally and externally
  • Hire and grow the media sales team

WHO ARE YOU?

  • You are an experienced digital sales team leader
  • You have a true passion for digital advertising
  • You’re proud of your record of success within a digital media sales and/or leadership role, ideally on the publisher side working with audio or video formats
  • You build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, media buyers and other relevant businesses, forging strategic partnerships
  • You have hired, led and expanded a high performing sales team
  • You inspire others, within your own team and in the business as a whole
  • You know the programmatic landscape, including agency trading desks and other programmatic buyer
