Job Description

US

Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box.

We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company (now owned by Sony) and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people on Millennium eve at the O2. We were pioneers in electronic music and have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.

Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1. The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office. There’s great home cooked F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme.

As a business we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team. We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.

YOU

We are seeking a Talent & Promotions Lead to join the Ministry of Sound team.

Reporting to the Head of Talent, you will play a key role within the Club Marketing & Promotions team. This position will center on talent booking, identifying emerging artists and brands, and managing external promoters and ticketing activity.

In this role, you will support the strategic development and delivery of talent bookings while managing crucial relationships. You will be responsible for identifying and securing emerging talent and club brand partnerships that align with Ministry of Sound’s programming.

You will lead the sourcing and oversight of sub‑promoters, working collaboratively with the wider team to determine needs based on projected trade, content requirements, and partnership opportunities. You will also identify opportunities for artist led content creation to support marketing activity, and you will manage ticketing across both primary and secondary platforms.

A core focus of the role will be ensuring strong internal coordination. You will maintain seamless communication and alignment between the Marketing, Club Operations, Production, and Finance teams. You will manage artist briefs, oversee delivery, and support feedback processes following events to drive continuous improvement. As the key link between talent and the wider organisation, you will ensure that activity is executed smoothly and effectively.

You will also support the Promotions and Marketing teams by securing content from talent for campaigns and by helping to deliver promotional strategies. Working closely with the Head of Talent, you will contribute to ticket sales strategies and assist in monitoring performance.

Data and performance analysis will be another important aspect of the role. You will track trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and gather intelligence on competitor activity, including ticket and bar pricing, monthly talent programming, and overall results. You will contribute proactively to concept development by supporting new ideas and projects and by identifying opportunities across relevant areas.

Additionally, you will help promote and develop the club through creative initiatives and potential partnership opportunities.

To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years’ experience in a talent‑booking position within nightlife, club culture, or live entertainment. You will bring a proven ability to book and manage talent, promoters, and partnerships, alongside strong contacts across DJs, agents, promoters, and emerging artists.

You should have a solid understanding of social media platforms and how digital activity can drive show promotion and ticket sales. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

This is an on‑site position and requires flexibility, including evening and weekend work to support nightclub events.
