Full time Human Resources

Job Description

We are looking for a bright, savvy, passionate Human Resources Administrator to join our team. But don’t let the “administrator” part fool you. This role goes beyond what a typical administrator does. You will join a tight-knit three-person team, laser-focused on HR excellence.

Cool places and disrupting the status quo are not for everyone! If you are not passionate about making things better for our organization and our employees, you probably won’t like it here. If you don’t exude passion, creativity, commitment, and fun, this isn’t the place for you.

Your primary responsibilities are facilitating various HR initiatives including onboarding, payroll and benefit administration, recruitment support and various HR programs. With that said, at Live Nation, job responsibilities don’t fit in a neat little box. We are looking for someone who loves to be challenged.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain employee files, ensuring employment documents are filed properly and electronically filed in our internal systems
  • Administer payroll including reviewing and approving semi-monthly and bi-weekly summaries, updating payroll information (one-time payments, new banking info, new hires, terminations, tax forms and benefit forms), and reconciling monthly payroll GL entries for finance
  • Oversee benefit administration (new enrolments, changes, terminations, billing reviews) through third party administrator
  • Administer background checks
  • Conduct reference screens for new candidates
  • Create offer letters for full time, part time, seasonal and hourly staff
  • Point of contact for employee inquiries relating to benefits, payroll and Employee Resource Groups
  • Manage timely Pay Stub and ROE distribution
  • Complete StatCan Job and Wage Surveys, as required
  • Administer employment verification letters
  • Coordinate the new-employee onboarding process and related training, including; coordinating IT set up, learning journal and collecting new hire documentation
  • Oversee HRIS administration through Workday, including setting up new employees, terminating employees, updating data and pulling analytics report and general tasks, in order to maintain accurate data and reporting
  • Manage inquiries on My Nation/Mobile Stipend/Access to Apps, etc.
  • Coordinate vacation and extended absences administration including tracking, reconciliation and reporting quarterly balancesUpdate org charts on an ongoing basis
  • Update Human Resources metrics, including turnover and recruitment tracking reports
  • Monitor and manage employee contract end dates
  • Organize weekly meditation sessions (email invites, set-up and tear-down)
  • Administer the Live Nation birthday program
  • Event planning (holiday parties, Kid Nation, summer BBQs)
  • Ordering flowers and gifts for employee life events
  • Be a trusted business partner. Get to know people.

Skills & Qualities Desired:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and related reporting requirements
  • Comfort analyzing data, spotting numerical errors and identifying trends
  • Attention to detail, bordering on OCD
  • Abnormal organization skills (If you’re an extreme couponer, you pretty much have this locked)
  • The desire to really understand our business and our culture. They will be the key to your success.
  • Proven ability to initiate and develop activities and creative ideas
  • Have a “can-do” attitude.
  • Speak “business”, not “HR”.  We don’t use much “HR” lingo around these parts.
  • Know, learn, and keep up-to-date on all things HR
  • Have a killer personality, not the personality of a killer
  • Experience, or a burning desire to work in a fun, creative entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to multi-task, proactively solve problems, and meet time-critical deadlines
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Workday preferred

Education & Knowledge Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, or equivalent
  • 1 or more years of work experience on an HR team

We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those chosen for an interview will be contacted.
