The Art School is a student and artist led venue in Glasgow. We are the trading subsidiary of the Glasgow School of Art’s Students’ Association (GSASA), a registered charity that operates as a representative body for students at The Glasgow School of Art (GSA), advocating for their interests and welfare.
We are currently recruiting for a Programme Coordinator who will be responsible for the maintenance of a commercially viable arts and music programme, and the implementation of appropriate communication strategies. They will be expected to work in close conjunction with the elected Events Convenor, Glasgow School of Art students, and The Art School operational team.
The ideal candidate will need to ensure that the venue’s programme is in the interest of its members; encompassing a wide variety of arts and music events, including club nights and gigs. They will be expected to build and foster existing relationships with external partners including, promoters and organisations that embody the ethos of The Art School.
Applicants should have a particular interest in continuing a history of prioritising artists who push boundaries and resonate with the politics of a venue which strives to make everybody feel comfortable and welcome, and which has an on-going and self-critical commitment to accessibility, safe(r) spaces and actively opposing all forms of discrimination.
