Job Description

Kobalt & KTech is looking to hire an ambitious and personable Executive Assistant to support both the CTO and CCO in our ever-expanding London office.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous senior-level support experience in a fast-paced, growing business with a track record of managing busy schedules & coordinating high profile internal and external events.

The CTO and CCO manage a range of teams including the engineering, technical support, product design and product management functions. You will be a natural extension of the executives as well as the wider team forming a part of our KTech population. The position will be key in terms of building trustworthy relationships among the internal teams as well as the wider tech community as you will be considered a trusted brand ambassador and face of KTech.


Founded in 2000 by Willard Ahdritz, Kobalt is creating the music company of the future. Kobalt is a global music and technology company built for artists, songwriters, publishers and labels as an alternative to the traditional music business model. Kobalt have built the technology infrastructure to enable better reporting and for artists to maintain ownership and control over how their work is distributed, tracked, collected, and monetized.  This global technology platform is able to track and collect royalties for the billions of micro-payments per song in digital music today.

Our open platform allows new and upcoming artists and writers all over the world to get access to invaluable insights that help boost their musical careers including The Chainsmokers, Kelly Clarkson, Miles Davis, Dave Grohl, Lauv, Zayn Malik, Max Martin, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Pitbull, Elvis Presley, Skrillex, Sam Smith, and many more.

  • Be a natural extension of the supported executives in their day-to-day business needs and to quickly synthesize information and determine what actions, if any, are needed sometimes in a nonlinear set of circumstances
  • Provide the bridge for smooth communication among internal teams, the wider business & externally; maintaining credibility, confidentiality, trust and support
  • Work closely with the wider teams, including Recruitment, to arrange meetings and internal & external events
  • Calendar management and meeting coordination (across time zones)
  • Manage external relationships - filter and prioritise contact
  • Manage administrative areas across the KTech organisation - from holiday requests, through to travel and handling purchase orders and invoices from vendors
  • Plan and manage global travel arrangements for executives 


  • Experience of executive-level support in a fast-paced environment ideally in a medium sized, start-up style tech or product company 
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and results-oriented attitude with ability to take initiative and manage a ever-changing schedule as well as anticipate needs
  • Can manage competing priorities without losing anything in the shuffle
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships throughout the organization and with external contacts
  • Prior experience coordinating international travel and planning across multiple time-zones
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) and Gsuite but also use of various communication and tools such as Trello, Slack, Jira, Zoom etc.

  • Based at River Building, Cannon Street, London EC4R 3TE
  • Hours are 37.5 hours per week. Generally, these are taken between 9.30-6 with 1 hour for lunch but amendments to these hours can be agreed on a case by case basis with line manager approval

ANNUAL LEAVE | Contractually 25 days, however Kobalt closes its offices for the 3 days between Christmas and New Year’s when staff contribute 1 day.

LIFE ASSURANCE | Equal to four (4) times base salary.

TRAVEL INSURANCE | Business travel insurance cover.

INCOME PROTECTION | Covers up to 75% of base salary up to the age of 65.

GYM MEMBERSHIP | Corporate rates available at Nuffield Health and Fitness First. Kobalt will subsidise £45.00 gross per month towards your corporate gym membership if your membership is processed through company payroll.

INTEREST FREE SEASON TICKET LOAN SCHEME | Eligible after 1-month continuous service. Loans deducted from net pay over a 12-month period.
