Behind The Scenes

The world of electronic music is shaped not only by artists and fans, but also by thousands of independent businesses, from clubs to booking agents, publishers and promoters. It is the network of these companies on which the vitality of our scene depends. Behind The Scenes is a series highlighting passionate people making a meaningful contribution to electronic music in a variety of different ways.

The fourth instalment of Behind The Scenes features José Woldring, founder of The Media Nanny, one of the leading PR agencies in the electronic music industry with clients ranging from underground talents to superstar DJs. José explains how she balances her life as CEO of a well-established company with her hobbies outside of work and the countryside of Holland.
In the first edition of Doors Open's BTS Live, the founder of Sample Clearance Services, Saranne Reid and Dane Bradshaw, Head of Creative Sync at Ministry of Sound Publishing, talk to Martha about music licensing and publishing, their career path and the skill set needed to work in their field.
The third instalment of Behind The Scenes features Nadja Bozic of Odd Fantastic, one of the most respected booking agencies in the scene. She tells her exciting story from working in a record shop in Milan to fostering her own roster of acts around Europe.
